Calgary Bluesfest 2022

Bring your family and friends out to events during the front half of the week, then head down to Shaw Millennium Park July 28-31 for non-stop music on MainStage, followed by the Twilight Blues dance parties!  Take in world class music, shop  in the colourful arts market, sample delicious foods by local food trucks, sip cool beverages by Last Best Brewery & Distillery, and have your festival souvenirs signed by artists!  Sit in the shade in our giant tent, or lay your blanket on the  grass and enjoy the sunshine… bring your dancing shoes!

Starring Blues Hall of Fame inductee Joe Louis Walker, Texas “Golden Girl” Trudy Lynn,  Chicago blues great Lurrie Bell, fiery contemporary blues vocalist Janiva Magness, the reunion of the Silent Partners, with Tony Coleman, Russell Jackson and Jonathan Ellison, Harps of  Gold featuring Steve Marriner, Roly Platt, Guy Belanger, Richie Pollack, and Sherman Doucette,  and three guitar legends in one tour de force, with Amos Garrett, Doug Cox and Tim Williams, R&B, funk & soul greats the Blackburn Brothers … and many more!

AS OF NOON ON WEDNESDAY, JULY 27, FESTIVAL PASSES ARE AT THE GATE ONLY.  PRICES RISE TO $50 FOR EACH OF THURSDAY & FRIDAY, AND $65 FOR EACH OF SATURDAY & SUNDAY. Children 12 & under are free.

 

PLEASE BRING A COPY OF YOUR PAYPAL RECEIPT TO THE GATE & WE’LL SWAP FOR WRISTBANDS.

    The Toronto Blues Society board of directors is pleased to announce Calgary’s Cindy McLeod as the winner of the newly renamed John Valenteyn Blues Booster of the Year award, a very special Maple Blues Award honouring outstanding contribution to the Canadian blues music industry. The esteemed award has been renamed in honour of the late John Valenteyn, a co-founder of the Toronto Blues Society, long-time radio DJ, and dedicated volunteer.
